A few puppy photos

These aren't the greatest pictures, but I know some of you wanted to see photos of the puppy. It's pretty difficult when she moves or I get down to her level and she just comes running at me!

Awww, a sleeping puppy is a good puppy!

I still have not decided what to do with her yet. I'm taking her to the vet on Monday for a general check-up and check to see if she is
microchipped. I'll also check the local paper to see if there are any lost pets, as I feel that is the "right" thing to do. If these all turn out to be negative, there is a good possibility I will keep her. There's really something quite special about this little one, and I normally don't spontaneously decide to keep an animal. Plus, being as young as she is, there is an ability to "mold" her, as everything is from scratch, a blank slate in a way.

So any takers for names? My dad mentioned to me, "Aliyah" which origin is Hebrew, meaning "rising, ascending to"
and was the name given to the immigration of Jews to Israel. It's also the name given when reciting a blessing during Jewish services.

Great photos! Taking pictures of dogs can be so hard, mine will get so excited about the attention that it's impossible to get a good shot. She looks like she has a lot of character! How are the others reacting to her?

Awwww Tiptoe she is GORGEOUS!! Pint sized little ball of gorgeous fluff. I really hope you get to keep her, there is something special about being found by a puppy, like she chose you.

Ohmagod adorable! I hope everything works out - even if she does turn out to be someone's, I'm sure her owner will be so grateful that you've been taking care of her.

*explodes from the cuteness*

I'm not a dog person, but this little one could totally change my mind! Except it wouldn't change Aria... :)

You're a wonderful person for doing this. Someone rescued my cat, and I am forever grateful to them.

Tiptoe, I find the meaning behind the name so encompassing. My name means, "Woman of esteem", though I have never figured out what that meant. My goal is that someday I will.

I think your little found one will know right away.

Everyone, thanks for the cute compliments of the puppy. I'll know more tomorrow after the vet visit, so I'll keep all posted.

MelissaS and GBML, names are really important to me, so her name will be thought with great care.
