Bones, bones everywhere!

Okay, not those kind of bones!

This is a picture of the dogs' bone basket. It looks like I need to go through these, huh? Can you guess the weight? I have not a clue honestly, but it's damn heavy! And just like kids, they literally leave them everywhere. It's fun waking up in the middle of the night only to step on a bone or better yet, find one in your bed!

My dad's reaction when he first saw this a month ago was, "so what are you trying to put together a cow?" For whatever reason, this makes me laugh. Now, every time, I look at the basket, I keep wondering if the dogs will put the pieces together.

Okay, obviously this is very random, I'm tired, and my sense of humor is a little off the wall.

Seriously, those things *hurt* to step on! It really is funny, though, one of my parents' dogs used to get these and hide them behind the curtains. Totally random thought, I know...but when I see these I think of curtains! And stone bruises on my feet. Haha.

i have washed my sheets and pillowcases and then found a soggy rawhide bone in the washer. yuck. My dog is pretty good at hiding her bones in the covers!! Oh and I second, or third, that those things HURT to step on!!!

This made me smile :-) I find it hilarious that you wake up with dog bones in your bed. Pets make everything a bit more interesting, huh?

Thanks for the chuckles everyone!

My general rule is no bones allowed on the bed or in them, but sometimes, they do sneak in there! Yes, a life with pets does make it more interesting.

I've got 3 dogs, and come spring, the yard looks like a cow graveyard! Once, I collected the bones, and put them in a sheetrock (sp?) bucket, left outside...the dogs removed them from the bucket, and left them in a circle around it.
